Midea Rolls out Its First Refrigerator Compressor

The first ice box compressor developed by Chinese home appliance maker Midea rolled out on November 13 the production line of Anhui Meizhi in Anhui province.

 

Spokesperson for Midea says that it is a big milestone in the company's history. It represents a new start for the company in the refrigerator compressor manufacturing industry. With refrigerator compressor manufacturing prowess, Midea will be able to form a full-fledged industry chain and integrate industry resources.

 

Anhui Meizhi was jointly founded by Midea and Japan-based Toshiba Carrier in February 2008. Located at the high-tech development zone of Hefei, Anhui province, the company has a yearly production capacity of 5 million ice boxes. It is 95% owned by Midea.

 

Looking into the future, Midea will kick off small-scale trial production first and start massive production in this December when it will have finished quality guarantee system.
