After a breakthrough of exporting Midea Centrifugal Chiller, recently Midea Commercial Air Conditioning successfully won a bid of the large-scale project of “Treasure Island” in India. In this project, 9 units of Centrifugal Chiller & Screw Chiller from Midea CAC will be fully responsible for the construction of the AC systems in all the relative buildings including large supermarkets, office buildings and five-star hotels. The total investment of the project will be over RMB 20 million, which is the biggest project under the brand of domestic central air conditioning in oversea so far.

A principal of MCAC Global Sales Company said, “Today, Midea CAC has successfully sold numbers of centrifugal chillers to Rumania, Philippine etc. However, in this time Midea Centrifugal Chiller System acquired another opportunity to enter the global, which indicates Midea CAC is no longer localizing in domestic market competed with the foreign brands. Instead, it is aiming at some oversea markets.

In the bid history, 13 units of Midea Centrifugal Chiller System acquired the project of BeijingCapitalInternationalAirport in August 2007, contributing to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. In September, Midea CAC successfully acquired a large central air-conditioning project in Rumania, made a breakthrough of exporting Midea CAC own brand. Besides, in December the Inverter Centrifugal Chiller undertook the project of “BYD HQ Buildings” in Shenzhen, made the first domestic deal in China. According to the cases above, it is proved that Midea CAC leads the way in commercial air conditioning and had a rare moment of success on the international heavyweight front.

However, some experts believe that “Midea CAC’s reputation both domestically and abroad has been sound with these successful bids, the company will continue to adapt to the demands of the global market, and leverage its strengths to emerge as a strong global player in the near future.”
